This shoe was the solution to my foot pain and made working so much easier. Unfortunately they broke down pretty quickly but for the price this combined with gel insoles is essential for comfortable manual labor or jobs with lots of moving and standing.

I use these to keep my feet from being shredded by the concrete during water exercises. The men's have a less restrictive toe box that lets my big toe be comfortable.

This model seems to be offered with various uppers here. Mine look similar to the 'military' color shown, but they're actually a dark green, oiled canvas. I mention this because different uppers are going to offer different protections and a different feel. Mine were somewhat stiff when they were new, because the uppers are an oiled canvas, but they quickly became soft.
I like these shoes for 2 reasons. The first is that they look good. The second is that I love PRO-Keds. While everyone has their favorite canvas sneaker, I think PRO-Keds are just simply more comfortable then any of the other major brands and I've tried them all. They also just fit my feet better and they fit true to size. I've worn PRO-Keds for about 40 years, since I was a small child, and so they've always been my preferred canvas sneaker.

These shoes took my back through memory lane as I laced them up with the extra pair of FAT laces that were provided.. That was a nice surprise! Superstars have been in style since the 80's and keep on rocking. These Vulcs are a bit lighter than the original and the insole is different. The insoles are comfortable, but they aren't as slick and more of a rubber kind of material that don't really allow you to slip these one while leaving the laces tied like the original. Also the stripes are more integrated into the side instead of being a seperate stitched piece like on the originals and tend to crack kind of over time. Besides that, I do find they wear better over time than the originals.

My son shattered his ankle last spring and after a long road is finally back to work. I gave these to him to try out as I'm not a huge top fan. He said the fit is perfect. Quality is first rate and amazing comfort. He also said the support these provide was amazing. He is in and out of a delivery can all day and often has to walk up and down several flights of stairs. Even after a long 12 hour shift his feet were (specifically the broken one) not tired or sore. He loves these sneakers. His only complaint was that the white gets dirty very quickly.

Though the listing pictures make these shoes look “cream”, they are indeed white in-person. At least the upper portion. The bottom sole is gray. It shows on the label that the entire shoe is man-made. The bottom sole does not feel like rubber. It has the feel of pressed paper. There is nice arch support, and a fair amount of padding inside. Some padding around the ankle as well. These shoes are Made in China. They may be a little wide for some. These look more for those in the nursing profession.
